International Foundation for Child and Family “Dr. Alexandra Zugrăvescu” (FICF) was founded in 1993 at the initiative of the French Association Médecins du Monde and a group of specialists in the field of child protection. FICF is a non-governmental, non-profit, apolitical organization, without religious affiliation. Through its programs, FICF contributes to the education, health and protection of the child, family and the community by offering high-performance prevention and intervention services, as well as professional training.
FICF works with Ukrainian refugees on two levels: a mobile team that provides assistance and counseling in transit centers in Bucharest, involving children and mothers in various group activities and, on the other hand, organizes various workshops (art therapy, therapy through music, yoga) at the Foundation headquarters or outdoor activities and field trips for children and teenagers.
