Among the 31 partners of the CARE FOR UKRAINE project, financed by CARE through the SERA Romania Foundation, CARE France and FONPC, is AUTISM Baia Mare. The association, established by a group of parents of children with special needs, runs programs and activities for better integration of the Ukrainian children and offers them specialized psychosocial support: cognitive-behavioral therapy and rehabilitation therapy for children with autism/psychological developmental delays.
The CARE global confederation initiated, from the first moments of the escalation of the situation in Ukraine, consistent humanitarian support, both in the affected Ukrainian cities and in the countries with the largest influxes of refugees, such as Poland, Georgia, Romania and the Republic of Moldova, reaching a total of 989,700 people internationally. In Romania, CARE intervened through its partners – SERA Romania Foundation and FONPC (Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations for Children), with a project called CARE FOR UKRAINE which, in one year, reached almost 150,000 people affected by the conflict. 31 NGOs from Romania and the Republic of Moldova are part of the CARE FOR UKRAINE humanitarian action.
