ASSOC Baia Mare Association was established in 1995 and is promoting social assistance with the aim of improving the living conditions of disadvantaged groups. Dedicated to supporting people with disabilities, the elderly, migrants, young people leaving the child protection system, as well as other disadvantaged groups in need of integration and support, ASSOC has carried out humanitarian and charitable activities and established social centers such as the Day Center for Adults with Disabilities, Social Canteen, Care and Assistance Center for Adults with Disabilities “Pinochio”, Home Care Service for the Elderly, Social Restaurant & Catering ASSOC, but also programs such as Sentinel ASSOC.
ASSOC Baia Mare supports Ukrainian refugees in two directions: a call center that provides various information related to transport, food, services and a mobile team that provides immediate support in emergency cases. In addition to these, they have two centers (in Baia Mare and Sighetul Marmației) where they offer psychological support, vocational counseling and educational and recreational services for Ukrainian children.
