Founded in 2008, AUTISM Baia Mare association focused on improving the living conditions and social adaptability of children with developmental disorders, in order to increase the quality of the life of these children and their families. Since 2010, AUTISM Baia Mare established the Day Center for children with disabilities, where they provide personalized therapy services and follow the progress of 120 children with developmental disorders from the counties of Maramureş, Satu Mare and Sălaj.
Autism Baia Mare runs programs and activities that help to better integrate Ukrainian refugee children and offers them specialized psychosocial support: cognitive-behavioral therapy and rehabilitation therapy for children with autism/psychological developmental delays.
