Founded in 1995, AMURTEL Aid Association operates in the field of inclusive education for children with special needs, social services for abandoned children and disadvantaged youth at risk of social exclusion, focusing on programs that protect, strengthen, educate, uplift and inspire those that are vulnerable due to social and economic disadvantages. The Association’s main projects are the AMURTEL Family Residential Center, the Izvorul Speranței Day Center and the Vistara social integration program. AMURTEL is also involved in supporting humanitarian interventions at international level through the network of AMURT and AMURTEL projects around the world.
Amurtel provides emergency psychological assistance at the border and in transit camps, provides support to families with children to activate the resources needed for resettlement and also organizes training sessions for those who come into direct contact with refugees.
