The Profilaxis Medical Aid Foundation is a non-governmental organization established in Timișoara in 1997 with the mission of increasing the quality of the life of children, adults and the elderly through the development of medical, social and educational services. During its almost 20 years of activity, the PROFILAXIS has initiated and implemented several projects, both locally and nationally, in partnership with other organizations and public institutions.
With the funding of CARE, through the SERA Foundation, CARE France and FONPC, the medical team of the Profilaxis Foundation developed the “Profilaxis TELEMED” system and implemented the project “Together for health” alongside with other partner organizations in the country within the CARE FOR UKRAINE project, offering specialized medical consultations in telemedicine system (cardiology, dermatology, internal diseases) to Ukrainian refugees.
