The Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations for the Child, established in 1997, is a network of Romanian NGOs active in the field of child protection and well-being, being the main specialized interlocutor of the state for the elaboration and redefinition of public policies from the perspective of children’s rights, using and developing the experience and the expertise of its members, approximately 100 NGOs from Romania. Bringing Children’s Rights onto the political and public agenda, the involvement in the development of public policy projects by guaranteeing the inclusion of Children’s Rights in all public policies, the elaboration and implementation of a national mechanism for monitoring children’s rights are the priority directions of FONPC.
